A Laois man says he is being denied the opportunity to determine his final resting place.
74 year old Bernard O'Reilly from Portlaoise wants to have everything in place in the event of his death, as he has no family of his own.
When the time comes he has decided on a cremation and wants to purchase a space in the Columbarium wall for his ashes.
In a statement made to Midlands 103, Laois County Council say's 'plots are allocated following a bereavement'.
