Laois Woman Among Homeless Who Have Died In Dublin This Year

Hundreds of people turned out for a vigil in memory of her.

A Laois woman is among 40 homeless people who have died in Dublin so far this year.

That's according to figures from the Dublin Region Homeless Executive in the Irish Times.

Crettyard's Ann Delaney, a mother and a nurse, died while sleeping rough in Dublin last February.

Hundreds of people turned out for a vigil in memory of her after news of her passing spread.

Overall, 56 deaths were recorded during the 12 months last year, compared to 24 in 2018.
