The lowering of the VAT rate is a 'fantastic result' for the hospitality sector, according to hotelier and fast food chain owner, Pat McDonagh.
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have agreed to decrease the rate back to 9% after this year's budget.
It's a measure many in the sector have been calling for since the rate was increased to 13.5% following the pandemic.
