It broke out at Oglesby and Butler earlier this afternoon.
It's understood six units of the fire service are currently tackling the blaze on the O'Brien Road - two each from the stations in Carlow, Bagenalstown and Tullow.
Staff have been evacuated from the building, while there are no reports of any injuries.
Oglesby and Butler manufacture and sell gas-powered hand tools.
Gardai are urging locals to keeps doors and windows closed and for motorists to avoid the area.
The O'Brien road is currently closed, with diversions in place.
