Man Remains In Custody After CAB Search In Westmeath

Gardaí undertook the searches as part of the Winter Phase of Operation Thor.

A 23-year-old man remains in custody after a series of Criminal Assets Bureau searches in Westmeath, Kildare and Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí - targeting a south Dublin crime gang suspected of being involved in burglaries - raided three premises.

As part of Operation Thor, €33,000 euro in cash, three cars, rolex watches and jewellery were all seized.

The man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in money laundering, and is being held at Ronanstown Garda Station in Dublin.
