A man has been arrested in connection with a mobile phone credit scam in Westmeath.
The man in his early 30s was stopped at a check point in Swinford in County Mayo on Saturday - and through the garda mobility app, officers were notified that the driver was suspected of a number of fraud incidents nationwide.
He was charged with fraud in Mayo and Westmeath, as well as with stealing a car in Howth, Co. Dublin.
He's due in court later this month.
