Government funding of €1 million announced for the Midlands Hospice in Tullamore has come at the most opportune time.
The according to Chairperson of Offaly Hospice Foundation, Professor Humphrey O'Connor who says architectural plans prepared in recent months can now be brought through the planning process and made a reality.
He says designing the specifications for a facility that will service 300,000 people across four counties is an intricate and expensive process.
