Midlands Community Use Bingo To Lift Lockdown Spirits

Between forty and fifty people social distanced to take part in the game.

A Laois community isn't letting covid-19 get in the way of bingo.

The residents of St. Brigid's Place in Portlaoise headed out to their gardens with their bingo books last weekend.

About 40 to 50 people gathered for some afternoon entertainment, with people sitting on kitchen chairs, in their cars and some even hanging out of windows to maintain social distancing.

One of those involved - Michael Larkin - says it was great for morale in the estate and they're hoping to hold it again soon:
