Rates have been waived for the year in light of the covid-19 crisis.

Local authorities in the midlands are receiving a commercial rates rebate of over €12 million.

Rate payments for businesses were waived earlier this year in response to the covid crisis, with the government stepping in to bridge the gap in county council revenue.
