Midlands Fire Services Are Warning About Halloween Costumes

They want to alert parents to keep possible hazards in mind when choosing costumes for children.

Halloween should be about making positive memories not bad ones. 

That's the advice from Senior Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Westmeath Pat Hunt, who is advising parents to check if their child's costume is fire retardant and that they wear illuminated costumes if they are trick or treating in dimly lit areas.
