Gardaí have seized a vehicle that's been without tax for over a year and a half.
The van was stopped by Laois Roads Policing Unit on Tuesday night, where it was discovered the tyres were also bald.
A search of the vehicle also revealed 30,000 cigarettes in the back, and an inspection by customs found the van to be full of agricultural diesel.
The vehicle and the cigarettes have been seized, and a number of prosecutions will follow.
