Green Party leader Eamon Ryan has accepted the apology from Agriculture Minister Barry Cowen over his drink-driving ban.
The Fianna Fail TD was found to be over the limit after being stopped while driving from Offaly to Dublin in 2016 after he attended the All-Ireland football final.
Minister Cowen was disqualified for three months and fined €200.
He's told RTE it was a "terribly stupid mistake" and a "serious lapse in judgement".
