Midlands Road Safety Group In Favour Of Limiting Speed Of New Cars

The Irish Road Victims Association is making the comments after Fine Gael TD Michael Ring proposed installing speed limiters in vehicles.

A midlands road safety group says it's in favour of limiting all new cars to 100km per hour.  

The Irish Road Victims Association is making the comments after Fine Gael TD Michael Ring proposed installing speed limiters in vehicles as a way of reducing road deaths.

He's told the Irish Examiner parking speed vans in isolated areas is "about revenue" and not stopping "tragic accidents".
