Midlands Sets Standards In Homelessness Recovery - Housing Minister

Daragh O'Brien is pointing to declining homelessness in Westmeath and Offaly.

The Housing Minister is defending the Government's strategy to reduce midlands homelessness.

Darragh O'Brien says there's been a 15% year-on-year drop in the number of people accessing emergency accommodation in Westmeath, and 14% in Offaly.

The monthly homelessness report is due to be released this afternoon, with last month's results showing 180 people were without permanent accommodation in the region.
