A winning ticket from 26 years ago has never been collected.
The midlands has a new lotto winner after the owner of a quick pick ticket worth 134 thousand euro has made contact with the National Lottery.
The slip was picked up at John Whelan's Newsagent in Kilbeggan who will be toasting a case of history not repeating itself.
National Lottery advises any potential lucky customer to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place.
The Westmeath store sold a winning ticket in 1996 and John Whelan says there was a lot of money never collected:
