A midlands Sinn Féin TD is calling on the government to prioritise the re-start of cancer screening.
The outbreak of coronavirus led to the pause of detection procedures in March, as the HSE tried to limit the number of at-risk people presenting at hospitals across the country.
However it has now caused a backlog of appointments at centres as they still remain closed.
