Midlands TD Points To Complexities Around Assisted Dying

Robert Troy says he and his colleagues are taking their role very seriously.

A midlands TD believes that a medical judgement of a high probability of death may be subjective.

It comes as the Oireachtas Committee on Assisted Dying began its first public hearings yesterday.

Longford Westmeath Fianna Fáil TD, Robert Troy, claims that elderly people with underlying conditions may be judged medically, to have a high chance of dying, but could also live for many more years.
