The Laois woman has been working for Met Éireann for over four decades.
The midlands' most famous weather forecaster retires today.
Clonaslee's Evelyn Cusack who worked at Met Éireann for 42 years, is stepping down as head of forecasting.
She became a household name with her weather forecasts on TV, and for her coverage of Storm Ophelia, Storm Emma and the Beast from the East.
She will present her final TV forecast this evening, and says she picked June 1st because it's the start of Summer.
Unfortunately, Ms. Cusack did rule out the possibility of a Dancing With The Stars appearance.
Tributes for the forecaster have already been posted on social media with people wishing her a "happy retirement" and thanking her for her work.
Ms. Cusack has been speaking to Will Faulkner on Midlands Today, and is thanking everyone in the midlands for their support in her career:
