A new dialysis centre is marking its official opening today.
The B.Braun Wellstone Renal Care Centre is based in Portlaoise and links both with local GPs and the consultant nephrologist at the Midlands Regional Hospital, avoiding the need for local patients to travel to Dublin.
The official opening ceremony was delayed because of COVID but will finally take place virtually this afternoon.
