New funding is a unique opportunity for an Offaly town, which recently lost its swimming pool.
They're the words of Green Party Councillor Mark Hackett, who says the Edenderry Swimming Pool would be a suitable applicant for the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund, for which €120m was announced today.
The facility was badly damaged by a fire in January of this year.
