The new members of the Oireachtas Public Accounts are set to be confirmed today.

The cross-party group - the purpose of which is to scrutinise public spending - hasn't met since January.

Its new chairperson, Laois-Offaly TD Brian Stanley, says Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, along with other small groupings, missed a number of deadlines to nominate members of the 13-person committee.
