Nationally, over 500 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals.
There are no patients on trolleys in the midlands hospitals today.
Over 570 people are currently waiting for a bed in hospitals across the country, however, none of those are in Portlaoise, Tullamore or Mullingar.
The majority of those are in the Emergency Department, while 163 are in Wards elsewhere.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected, with 107 people on trolleys, the only hospital nationwide with over 100 patients waiting for a bed.
