A Laois man has entered his name in the running.
Nominations for candidates to run in the Irish Farmers' Association presidential elections are now open.
The process to fill the roles of President, Deputy President and three Regional Chair positions is underway.
Election debates will take place throughout October, with voting beginning in November.
The position is currently held by Toomevara's Tim Cullinan, with another midlands man vying for the position in Laois' Francie Gorman, the IFA South Leinster Regional Chairman.
The national count will take place in December.
