The first minister of Northern Ireland is writing to the Ceann Comhairle after what she describes a "shameful" tweet by a Laois-Offaly TD.
In the now deleted post, Sinn Féin's Brian Stanley made remarks on the IRA's Kilmichael Ambush in 1920 and Narrow Water in 1979.
Arlene Foster says, "it is outrageous that someone with such warped views can hold a senior position in the Dáil."
In a statement to the Irish Examiner, the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee chairperson apologised for "an inappropriate and insensitive" tweet that he sent.
