Offaly Driving Instructor Defends Insurance Disk Rule

Joe Wynne from Tullamore's Wynne's School of Motoring says it's to protect against forgery.

An Offaly driving instructor is defending an old rule about printing insurance disks in colour for driving tests.

Current regulation states that the disc must be printed in colour on white paper, with black ink and the green strip visible.

If it's not printed according to those guidelines, a person is turned away from their driving test and will have to reapply.
