The fundraising campaign behind the MRI Scanner at Mullingar Regional Hospital is less than €100,000 away from its goal.
Six years ago, the Friends of Regional Hospital Mullingar set a target of €950,000 to fund the scanner, but over time the project has become increasingly expensive, and now needs €1.2 million.
With the equipment due to become operational in February, an additional €93,000 is required to finish the campaign.
