Around 167 people in Westmeath are still waiting to be reconnected to the telecommunications network.
eir has so far restored connection to almost 8,800 homes, farms and businesses in Westmeath, 98% of confirmed faults.
Over 265,000 customers have been reconnected following disruption caused by Storm Éowyn.
Westmeath is one of the counties receiving priorty focus from eir as one of the most severely impacted counties, along with Mayo, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Monaghan, Longford and Donegal.
Una Stafford, Managing Director open eir Networks says " Since Storm Éowyn struck, we have focused on securing damaged infrastructure, working with the ESB to restore power to critical sites, deploying generators, and clearing fallen trees. Our technicians are working around the clock."
Meanwhile, Offaly TD is taking aim at eir for the company's response to repairs following Storm Éowyn.
Deputy Carol Nolan is calling for Government intervention on the issue as many homes, farms and businesses across Offaly, and nationwide, wait to be reconnected to the telecommunications line.
She highlighted the issue of a pensioner in the county who is yet to be reconnected, and relies on the phoneline and an alarm system, and her own constituency office which also remains without phone connection.
The Independent rep says the people need a more efficient response:
