
It's never too late to return your books to the library!
An over-due book has finally been returned to a midlands library, after 47 years.
The book, which was last borrowed in September 1976, found it's way back to Portlaoise Library, according to a post on Facebook.
Fines for over-due books were abolished in 2019, so the reader has gotten away with what would've been a very hefty bill.
The library is reminding people it's never too late to return your books.
