Over €1 million euro in funding has been announced for the preservation of historical sites across the midlands.
A total of €8 million euro will be granted to 140 monuments across the country under the Community Monuments Fund.
Westmeath will receive €530,986 for 8 projects, Offaly will get €444,547 for 6 projects and Laois will be granted €153,040 for 4 projects.
