€12.2m is being funded towards a new library in the region.
A new proposed library in Offaly has received a massive €12 million in funding.
The money for the new facility in Edenderry, which will be based on the former derelict Tesco site, comes as part of the national €164 million fund.
It will also see €3 million allocated to Borris in Ossory, which will turn the old court house into a community and enterprise hub, which has been long-campaigned for.
