Overnight Water Restrictions In Westmeath For A Second Night

Irish Water says the restrictions are essential.

Water restrictions are being put in place in Westmeath for a second night.

Customers in Coole, Castlepollard, Delvin, Clonmellon, Raharney, and the surrounding areas will be affected, between 10 o'clock tonight and 6 o'clock tomorrow morning.

Irish Water says the restrictions are essential to allow reservoirs to re-fill following high demands.

It's asking customers to be mindful of how they use water, but to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
