A local councillor is calling for more state-funded school buses in the county.
Parents and guardians in Laois are paying up to €16 a day for their child to get a bus to school.
That's according to Fine Gael councillor PJ Kelly, who's calling for more state-funded school buses in the county.
He wants the issue reviewed with CIE by the beginning of the next school year:
