That's according to a midlands postmaster, as An Post comes under fire for increasing the price of a stamp by 25c to €1.65.
The cost of sending a letter has tripled in the past 20 years, from just 41c in 2002 - and the cost of sending a letter abroad is also increasing by 20c to €2.20.
