ELECTED: Peter Burke Elected On The First Count In Longford Westmeath

He will be returning to to the Dáil.

Peter Burke will be returning to the Dáil, as he has been elected on the first count of Longford Westmeath.

The Fine Gael rep topped the poll with 10,864 votes.

A surplus of 549 will be distributed when counting resumes tomorrow at 9am.

He previously served as the Minister for Enterprise though it remains to be seen if he will be reinstated in that post.
