The Minister for Transport is being petitioned by over 1,700 people to renew a midlands bus service.

The Bus Éireann 20/X20 route, which included Athlone, Moate, Kilbeggan and Kinnegad was cancelled in July.

This week Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan was presented with a document with 1,748 signatures demanding that he intervene and ensure it's reinstated.
