A major renewable energy park planned for the midlands will boost Ireland's power security into the future.
That's according to Labour's Westmeath County Councillor Denis Leonard.
Bord na Móna are behind the proposals which will see a 7,400 hectare site spread across Offaly, Westmeath and Meath.
