Summer for children with additional needs can be long, disruptive, and sometimes isolating and stressful, according to Sinn Féin's Education Spokesperson.

Longford Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke is blaming a lack of school-based summer programmes on poor decisions by Government.

She claims midlands children and their parents are facing a 'long and difficult' summer and year ahead.
