A review into the work and practices of the maternity services at Portiuncula Hospital will be worthless unless it's acted on.
Krysia Lynch is the Chairperson of the Association for Improvements in Maternity Services Ireland.
She believes a planned external review is necessary after the hospital recorded two still births, and eight cases of Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy in the last 12 months.
Reviews have already taken place into the maternity services over similar incidents in 2018, and 2023.
