Portlaoise Parents For Safer Streets Campaigning For Road Safety

This comes following the tragic deaths of two children on roads in the area.

A Portlaoise community has spurred into action following the death of two children on the county's roads over an 18 month period. 

The group, Portlaoise Parents for Safer Streets, is campaigning for signage, speed ramps and improved visibility.

A petition is in place after the deaths of five  year old Aaron Hussain in February and three year old Rosaleen 'Rosie' McDonagh in August of 2023.
