Proposed Tourist Tax In Dublin Could Benefit Midlands - Offaly TD

The Department of Tourism claim there are no plans to bring in a tourist tax.

The proposed tourist tax for Dublin is going to make the midlands a more appealing destination. 

That's according to Offaly TD John Clendennen as the government is now exploring the possible introduction of an accommodation levy in hotels and short-term lettings in the capital.  

The Department of Tourism claim there are no plans to bring in a tourist tax for hotel stays.
