Two tax defaulters in the midlands are facing bills of over €280,000.
A haulage company in Laois, Kerwin Heavy Haulage Limited had the largest payment due of €148,604, including a penalty of €27,808 for under-declaration of PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT.
That was discovered during an audit by revenue officials but had been paid in full as of the 31st of March.
Company director Sean Campbell with an address of 36 The Hawthorns, Kinnegad Co.Westmeath also features on the defaulters list for failing to declare income tax.
The courts have ordered him to pay a penalty amounting to €138,104.
