Figures released by the Irish Blood Transfusion service show Offaly had the largest swell in numbers - jumping 14% on the previous year.
Laois saw an increase of 223 individual donations, that's 10% more than in 2017.
Donations were also up by 8% in Westmeath - meaning 1 in 36 people in the county gave blood.
In all, the midlands accounts for just over 5% of the total number of donations throughout the country.
