A firm decision will be made on September 9th.
Plans for a new Tullamore DEW visitor centre are up in the air after safety concerns were flagged.
William Grant and Sons Limited is looking to convert some buildings at its distillery in Clonminch, Tullamore into a visitor experience.
However, Transport Infrastructure Ireland claims the location of the development, on a part of the national road network that requires "particular vigilance", would cause a hazard to the public, while new signage could distract drivers.
Offaly County Council is due to make a decision on the planning application on 9th September.
