Seven retired fire fighters in Laois have returned to the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.
The recently retired personnel are providing back-up for the duration of the crisis, in the case of a member of the Laois Fire and Rescue Service needing to self-isolate.
They've returned on temporary contracts at six stations across the county.
