
SIPTU workers at Bord Na Mona Recycling will be going on strike for two days in April.
Bord Na Mona Recycling customers in Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath are facing a disrupted service at the start of next month.
SIPTU is serving notice of a two-day strike action which will stop the company’s domestic waste collection services on 2nd and 3rd April.
It comes following to planned sale of the semi-state body to KWD Recycling.
The worker's union says BNM Recyling are carrying out plans to privatise the company "behind the backs of its workforce" and has provided no legally sound guarantees over the terms and conditions for staff under the new owners.
