Laois School Of 32 Head To All Ireland Robotics Final With World Champs On The Horizon

Rushall National School is in the national final of the VEX IQ Robotics competition.

A Laois school with just 32 students has the chance to become All-Ireland Champions of robotics.

Rushall National School is one of 6 schools in Laois who have qualified for the national final of the VEX IQ Robotics competition being held next week in Cork on February 26th and 27th.

Three schools in Offaly will be in attendance, while St Joseph's in Rochfortbridge in Westmeath is sending three teams.

The winner will go to the World Championships in America this May.

Principal at Rushall National School Andrew Monaghan has overseen the project - and says the entire school has gotten involved:

Laois Schools

Emo National School, Paddock National School, Coláiste Íosagáin in Portarlington, Dunamase College in Portlaoise, Mountrath Community School, Rushall National School.

Offaly Schools

Sacred Heart School Tullamore, Tullamore College, Gallen Community School.

Westmeath Schools

St Joseph's 1, 2, and 3 Rochfortbridge.
