Solar Energy Scheme Could Save Westmeath Schools €1,000

The programme is funded through the Climate Action Fund.

Schools in Westmeath will be able to save over €1,000 with the extension of a solar energy scheme.

The programme is funded by the Climate Action Fund and provides schools with up to 14 solar panels, generating renewable energy on-site.

This final phase will bring installations to 4,000 more schools nationwide.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Peter Burke, encourages all eligible Westmeath schools to take part in the innovative programme.
