State Aim For Regional Balance With National Broadband Plan

The Government initiative is underway.

The State say they're aiming for regional balance of coverage with the National Broadband Plan in the Midlands. 

The Government’s initiative to deliver high-speed broadband services to all premises is underway. 

EY's latest report on the plan shows that Westmeath has the highest penetration level of their selected intervention areas at at 39.4%, followed by Offaly at 25.7% and 25.3% in Laois. 

Nationally the average penetration level in the I A's is 31.7%.
