State Disputes Claims Borrisokane IPAs Being Evicted

The asylum seekers have been living there since 2019.

The Government is disputing claims nearly 100 asylum seekers in Borrisokane are being evicted.

96 International Protection Applicants have been living in the Riverside apartments since 2019, but Labour TD Alan Kelly claims they're being moved out to make room for additional IPAs.

A protest was held on Friday in a bid to argue for the current asylum seekers to stay in their accommodation.

However, Green Party Junior Minister Joe O'Brien says they've been offered alternative arrangements:
