A status yellow low temperature warning has been issued, with sharp to severe frost expected in Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath tonight.
The alert affects Munster, Ulster, Connacht and west Leinster, and begins at 8pm.
Met Éireann says minimum temperatures will be around minus 3 degrees or lower.
The warning expires at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning.
